The Noosa Malibu Club and World Surfaris will again be hosting and managing the iconic Noosa Festival of Surfing in 2020. As noted by the Club President Craig Johnson -.

“The collaborative partnership with World Surfaris provided a wonderful Festival in 2019. The participation by the WSL supported the Festival’s long-standing tradition of offering a world-class event for world-class Longboarders surfing world class waves.”

As demonstrated in 2019, the organisational expertise and management experience of World Surfaris was an excellent skill mix for the event. World Surfaris are Australia’s premier full-service surf tourism provider, offering quality surf tours to many of the world’s leading surfing destinations.

John Finlay, World Surfaris CEO, stated the Festival is a great fit for World Surfaris and that “we were delighted to be able to make an even greater contribution to the Festival than we have previously. We enjoyed our close collaboration with the Club, the Noosa Council, the WSL and the wider Noosa Community to put on a fabulous Festival in 2019. We learnt much from our initial year as Festival Organiser and look forward to managing this much-loved event in 2020.”

The Festival will take place from 22 February - 1 March, 2020, being nine days of beautiful waves (Huey permitting), boards, surfing and camaraderie. The WSL will host their longboarding competition during the first four days of the Festival (February 22-25 inclusive) and the next five days (February 26 – March 1) will feature the longboarding events for all ages. It will also feature the ever-popular dog surfing on Sunday 1 March 2020.
